Organic Raw Spirulina Powder

.
Our organic raw spirulina powder is a deep dark green powder, which is absolutely packed with protein, totalling an impressive 68% proteins and amino acids. Spirulina is particularly special as it contains a complete amino acid profile, similar to what is found in animal meats. Most plant protein sources are deficient in one or two amino acids, which means we usually have to food combine to create complete proteins - but not with spirulina! It is All-in-one! This makes spirulina a perfect nutritional supplement for vegetarians, vegans or anyone looking to boost their protein uptake.
.
So, what is special about Aluna Gena Organic Raw Spirulina Powder?
Firstly, it is produced in a specialised spirulina mono culture growing facility on an isolated peninsula in the South China sea. The facility is fed with pristine mountain spring water and bathed in the warm climate which creates an ideal environment for the growth of spirulina. The farm is surrounded by natural forests, forming a substantial barrier between the farm and any urban or agricultural developments.
The whole facility is 100% organic and the aquaponic growth beds are regularly tested for heavy metals or toxins to ensure the purity of the spirulina. Initially spirulina take about 2 months to mature but after initial harvest the beds can be re-harvested once a week, making spirulina one of the most environmentally sustainable sources of protein per gram.
.
Once harvested, spirulina is filtered through a fine mesh and washed by hand in pure fresh water then taken to be dried at low temperatures in a dehydrator. Once dried it is quickly packaged as a fine dried powder.
.
How to use
Organic Raw Spirulina powder can be added to freshly pressed juices, green smoothies, dressings, sauces, energy balls & bars, fridge set flans & pies and protein shakes. The flavour of spirulina is quite strong so you might not feel to use it neat, best disguise the flavour with other strong flavours like citrus or banana

Average serving size: 10-15 grams (2-3 teaspoons) daily
